Not Your Boyfriend’s Band is opening the Stillwater Stage on August 3rd at 5:00 p.m. As long time supporters of the festival, they are excited to get on the stage and play a few tunes for all their friends.

“The Blues Fest is always a great time,” says Brian Epley, one of the bands two guitarists. “We are excited to be part of the line-up this year.”

Not Your Boyfriend’s Band has a wide variety of influences between its five members, but always finds a way to blend them all in to their own unique style. According to Pete Bolenbaugh, the band’s bassist “We like to write our songs together. We just sort of put it out there, see what everyone else in the band hears, and then walk down any path that seems interesting.”

Playing their first show in September of 2016, Not Your Boyfriend’s Band has made frequent appearances at the Pub Station and other local venues. This will be their first time at the Magic City Blues Festival, as well as their first festival appearance in general.
